TIMBÓ COFFEE TABLE
Originally developed for a custom residential project, the Timbó Coffee Table is built around the character of a single broad slab of wood.
The top retains an irregular, gently shaped outline rather than being forced into a perfect rectangle. Low and substantial, the table has a grounded presence, while the shifting perimeter and natural grain give it a different character from every side.
Timbó is a South American hardwood native to Paraguay, valued for its light weight, workability, and natural resistance to water. Its coloring ranges from pale yellow-brown to soft pink and reddish-brown, with a straight grain and quiet, uniform texture that make it especially well suited to large-scale furniture.
The wood has long been used throughout the region for furniture, boats, carving, and other forms of skilled woodworking. Here, it is finished simply, allowing the scale of the slab and the natural variation in the wood to remain visible.
Each table is made from an individually selected piece of Timbó. Variations in grain, tone, perimeter, and edge shape are inherent to the design and make every table distinct.
