The design is built around the tension between its materials: black steel gives the stool a spare, architectural structure, while the tightly woven kraft paper yarn brings warmth, texture, and a distinctly handmade character. The yarn is wrapped continuously around the edges of the frame, softening its geometry and giving the seat a substantial, finished profile.

Paper yarn is made by twisting narrow strands of kraft paper into a strong, durable cord. Woven by hand, it creates a firm but yielding surface with subtle variation from one piece to the next.

Compact and light enough to move easily through a room, Stool 01 works as occasional seating, beside a table, or simply as an object with a strong presence of its own.
